When I’m starting a garden design one of the first things I’ll do is create a series of photo moodboards to condense my ideas and see them in one place. In many ways photo moodboards are a very simple tool but that doesn’t mean they aren’t effective for garden design, they are, and as long as you have a clear moodboard or two, the rest of the design process is about drawing the detail of that.
