Today is the spring equinox, which means the Earth’s orbit is at a point where the planet’s tilt now aims the northern hemisphere increasingly at the sun.
Gorgeous photos Jack! I haven't got a thing done in the garden this year yet but with fine weather forecast I'm looking forward to getting out there this weekend and getting some seed sown at last. I walked around yesterday evening and I couldn't believe how advanced everything was all of a sudden. The first flowers on the marsh marigolds beside our pond were particularly glorious.
Our first marsh marigold has opened too, it really has all advanced quickly. Little at a time is certainly the way with the sowing and gardening right now I think. Have a lovely weekend in the garden Feargal.
Thanks for the reminder to stop and appreciate that this is a special day in the gardening calendar - like you, I just want to be outside, doing a dozen jobs at once and forgetting to come in for lunch… 🙂
