I didn't go into the house, I've seen one too many stately mansion to want to see another one, I'm more interested in ordinary lives, but I have to say the craftwork on the windows and walls is really beautiful.
‘Stately’ interiors are not particularly my thing either, as I much prefer the vernacular. However, I’m interested in social history and old buildings and interiors and their relationship with the garden which has evolved (or is evolving). This is an ancient house, with warmth and a good feeling.
Pure Alice in Wonderland
Not my favourite thing at all, but the scale of it and the weird shapes are amazing! Thanks for sharing.
All that amazing topiary- great, safe places for nesting birds too!!
Totally weird, but wonderful! Must go see it!
LOVE that place.
A wonderful garden and house. To be treasured. I visited so many years ago and would love to visit again.

Thanks for sharing, a gem!
Love this. This summer I am making a short walking tour of topiary in West London, an unlikely location with a gem
I hope you find lots of wonky ones! :D
