Hey Ben, I haven’t because of the data sharing on it but I know it is a good app for identifying as well, and it’s great that it logs your finds as well to look back at!
Lovely article thanks Jack. I do my best to identify invertebrates in my garden, but sooo much to learn! The main insects I have been spotting in recent weeks are queen bumble bees - loving the stinking hellebores (hellebores foetidus) and I guess searching for suitable nesting sites as they bumble around!
Thanks Tess. Oh yes! I should have included Hellebores in the list, that is a good shout! I've found over the years that the best thing is just to look and observe first, because half of it is simply recognising the differences. Then over the years, I've ended up knowing more than I realised.
Have you used the app Seek? It’s a really fun, easy way to identify all forms of nature - especially for amateurs like me. :)
