Thanks Sharon! Isn’t it lovely, I guess the colours are from different woods?

Hear, hear - the only way I can get past overwhelm is focusing on something I can do, even if it's a tiny step.

Thanks for the words of encouragement 🙏🏾

Your veg rows looked delish! We'll take 1 or 2 of your extras!! [ If only: ;-) ]

Glad to hear you say "none of us can do everything. All we need to do is keep learning and reading when we can, make the odd step here and there within our means, such as using water butts and not using pesticides. Share what we learn and stick together."

You take an optimistic view, for sure. Yet if we each do what we can, in our own way, it's making some contribution for the good. And we ourselves can feel good that we're doing the right thing.

Enjoyed your read. Thanks.

Thanks, yeah I have think we have to try and be optimistic, when we look into the data of wildlife loss and climate change it's basically a dark hole with Governments not doing nearly enough, but we have to be optimistic that will change soon!

Wise words Jack. We have installed a water butt this year and I have stopped using pesticides. As you say hopefully even small steps will help.

Those two things alone make a massive difference to wildlife 💕

Enjoyed the info on wasps and their nests are truly wonderful....I also fear them sadly as I had one in my too dry compost heap last year and disturbed it accidentally. They didn't like it!

and thanks for your wise words on info overload. We have to do what we can. And not despair.

Funnily enough I could get really close to this nest and another one at ours last year and they weren’t bothered about me at all. I imagine if I touched it or rocked it, it would have been a different story! I was surprised really as I always think of them as aggressive but they seem quite gentle. But yes, I wouldn’t want to be stung either!
