I went for weekly plus extras, as then people still get a regular update. I guess there could be different options on the subscribe page for those who wanted less. Probably more frequently would put too much pressure on you, and leave less time for the actual gardening.
Thanks Tom, yes I think you’re right. I’ll stick to weekly and at least it seems the odd extra is ok too if something particularly interesting crops up.
Please keep sending weekly newsletters. I really enjoy reading them. I saw a "giant scabious" on a visit to a local garden and loved the plant. Fortunately my neighbour has some and kindly gave me a cutting. It's a real talking point when it flowers and I am looking forward to seeing your forest.
I ticked the wkly + occasional extras box but I’m always pleased to get your newsletters, whenever they arrive. Some of your photos have an afterlife on my iPhone as wallpapers.
I feel very honoured that the photos end up with you like that! Thank you Ian. That makes sense with the quantity too, thanks for your input on it. It’s hard to know sometimes.
I look forward very much to Fridays and Wild Way. I always get to the end of Wild Way feeling uplifted ( especially when the weather is harsh) inspired and looking forward to applying some of your ideas.
Anytime you have an extra snipit of gardening thoughts please do press send.
I’m loving that you feel uplifted by them! I’m always excited to hit send because I feel uplifted by sharing it all, so perhaps that is carrying through in the text a bit 🤗
I regularly open my email inbox and think I really do not have time to deal with all of this. On a good day I notice Wild Way and decide I can make time to quickly dip in. As if by magic I then find myself at the foot of the email relaxed, refreshed and ready to tackle the day. Once a week is great and if there was something special to add and an occasional extra is fine.
Wow that is just amazing to me to hear Briony! Thank you for this feedback, I always hope people will like it 🤗 I feel the same way writing it. And that’s good to know about the quantity too. Have a fab weekend!
Jack, your newsletter is the only one I subscribe to and read. I really look forward to it and always take action in some form - looking up plants, propagating seeds at a particular time, the list goes on! But mainly I enjoy reading it and seeing your garden journey. One newsletter per week is perfect, and I'd have no problem getting the occasional extra one. :)
Hi Deborah thank you, that is so lovely to read - the nice comments are always welcome but what makes me happy is that it sparks things you might want to do too. It feels like we’re all gardening together!
Thanks for the note on amount of newsletters, that makes sense and I think feels right to me too, look forward to what other people think too. Have a lovely week!
Hi Jack and Chris. I've had a rubbish week and haven't been able to get to my allotment because of ongoing family health problems. Your newsletter appeared in my inbox and was a delight to read - what a tonic, thank you!
Once a week is a treat. If I'm too busy for something (rarely planty stuff) I move the email. If doing something as an extra is easier for you or replacing the regular is fine with me. Whatever keeps you gardening as others have said 😉
Fab thanks Paula, I’m glad it feels about right, I realised I never really asked until now! But it’s good it feels right and room for the occasional random addition sometimes.

That’s exciting, it’s always fun getting a free plant you want!

Ah hi Fubsy, I’m sorry you’ve had a bad week. Hopefully you can get to the allotment this week 🤗
