Thanks Gale! I am so excited about the tomatoes - it was so much work but a really good result and the team at Gardeners' World have done such a great job of photographing and setting them out in the feature.

Look forward to reading about your results before I start my outdoor tomatoes this year Jack - well done!

Really helpful to read about the fungus gnats, I was wondering what was buzzing all round the hyacinth bulbs I had brought into the kitchen, now I know! I have just read though that the larvae can sometimes eat seedling roots so I have put my pot of bulbs outside before I start off my seed trays on the windowsill just in case!
